Kaakyire Kwame Appiah says there is no substance in current Ghanaian songs

Veteran musician Kaakyire Kwame Appiah is not impressed with the current Ghanaian songs being produced.

The Highlife musician stated that new artists are fond of composing songs with no significance.

He lamented that repetitions in Ghanaian songs released today are too many.

Kaakyire Kwame Appiah stated that their compositions of old impacted society because they were motivational.

“When listening to songs produced today, you would see that it is the same or one word that is used repeatedly, however, when you listen to the lyrics in my song “Kwadonto”, you would rather be inspired,” he told Hammer Nti on Pure FM.

The Highlife musician wants young artists to consider the directions and lyrics of their songs before releasing them.
