Music group DopeNation has apologized to Kwesi Arthur after dissing him on a record titled ‘Chairman’.
The duo made of twin brothers threw jabs at Tema-based rapper Kwesi Arthur after a misunderstanding.
Speaking about their motive for making the song, DopeNation in a video stated that rapper and his crew disrespected them at a concert at Ghana Telecom University in November 2019.
According to the twins, they were getting ready to mount the stage for their performance when suddenly they were pushed aside by Kwesi Arthur and his boys who went ahead to perform.
This infuriated the twins so much that after the show they hit the studio and made the song titled “Chairman” to address the issue.
However, in an interview with Andy Dosty on DaybreakHitz on Hitz FM, DopeNation apologized.
“We regret doing the song. The main aim for recording the song was to send a message and it was for the culture.”
“If we get the chance to talk to Kwesi Arthur about doing a song together we would because it’s about preaching African music to the world”, one member said.
Rapper Kwesi Arthur is yet to respond to the apology from DopeNation.
